This is my go-to turkey meatballs recipe. It is so easy to make and your meatballs will always come out moist. This recipe does not require any browning which makes it rustic and simple. All you need are a few everyday ingredients and herbs and a big bowl for mixing everything.
Turkey Meatballs Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 3/4 cup Panko
- 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients. Incorporate well and refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Remove the meat mixture from the refrigerator and shape it into golf ball-size meatballs. Cook in your choice of tomato sauce for 20 to 30 minutes.
Tip:
Be sure the meat mixture is chilled when you make the meatballs. Cook the meatballs immediately while they are still cold. “Warm” meatballs will be more likely to fall apart during the cooking process.
