Bacon and Cabbage Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 strips of bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- Half head cabbage, cut into 2-inch pieces
- Vegetable oil, optional
- Water
- Salt & pepper
Method:
- In a pre-heated pan or pot, add the bacon and fry until the bacon pieces are crispy. Add a touch of oil if you want the bacon fat to render faster.
- Once the bacon pieces are crispy, add garlic. Sauté until the garlic is fragrant, about 10 to 15 seconds. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add the cabbage and incorporate all the ingredients. Sauté for 5 minutes or until the cabbage is slightly softened.
- If the cabbage is not producing enough liquids, add some water to prevent burning.
- Cover and cook for 3 to 5 minutes on medium heat.
- After 3 to 5 minutes, season with salt and pepper. Cook for another minute before turning off the heat.
